Syracuse, NY — Halloween is fun. Thanksgiving is fulfilling. ‘Roid week is prodigious.
For one week every year, instant photography enthusiasts share their best shots with the world. Some people use Polaroid camera’s, others use Fuji’s. I primarily use a Polaroid Spectra and Fujifilm Instax 200. Film is very easy to come by, thanks to the geniuses at The Impossible Project.
My first submission is a shot of Andrew Burton, a photo genius at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Check out his website. His photos from the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics are killer. Remember this guys name.
The second photo is of a giant inflatable rat used during a protest in Spackenkill, NY. The protest was over a power sub station being built. According to the organizer, the rat is the unofficial protest symbol in New York City. Check out the Althouse for more information on this critter.
