Pleasant Valley, NY — The NBA Draft has been held in New York City since 2001. The ceremony is in the “worlds most famous arena,” Madison Square Garden.
Tonight’s lottery marks the beginning of a new era, with an incoming class of rookies looking to make their mark on the basketball world. The incoming class looks great, with the likes of John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Evan Turner and Wesley Johnson up for grabs.
Here are the lottery results:

The favored number one pick is John Wall from the University of Kentucky. He is the most complete all around player and can make an instant impact on whatever team drafts him. He’s probably going to the Wizards, since they have the first pick. That’s my take, what’s yours?

I hope people aren’t making their decision about Wall based on his Youtube highlight video. Fine, he can dunk and pass, but he’s a small guy. He’s only 6’4. He can’t even palm the basketball. He definitely has more energy and athleticism than Turner or Cousins, but he’s not as obvious a choice as Lebron was. Wall is a showboat, but doesn’t have the numbers to back him. He didn’t have a good year numbers-wise at Kentucky. It’s pretty slim pickings this year. But turner is 6’7 and although more humble, I think with his size he could be groomed into a solid player. Wall will always have to fight with height to be good. I think of Wall as like a Vince Carter, but shorter. Carter was a number five draft pick in 98. At least people still know his name.
The Wizards should trade the pick for Lebron.
