Syracuse, NY — Everywhere I go, I see the car with the funny doors.
A few days ago, the little lady and I were at Wal-Mart shopping for some snacks when we found ourselves in the toy aisle. The shelves were stocked with Toy Story action figures, NERF gun accessories and Hot Wheels. One car caught my eye. It was a gold DeLorean DMC-12, also know as, the “Back to the Future” time machine.
For 97 cents, the car was priced to move. Here are some shots I took of the car parked outside.

The sight of the little gold car on the wet pavement reminded me of “The People vs. Larry Flynt,” a Milos Forman biopic on the frenetic philanderer, Larry Flynt.
One of the film’s more poignant, and interesting, moments involves a controversial audio tape Flynt suspiciously acquired of John DeLorean being ”threatened by Federal agents when he tries to back out of a $24 million cocaine deal,” said the New York Times. On Nov. 26, 1983, Flynt appeared in front of a Federal grand jury to reveal where he got the tape from. Instead of revealing his source, Flynt revealed an American flag diaper and bullet proof vest he had on. You can only imagine what happened next.
Overall, “The People vs. Larry Flynt” is a piece of movie history. Harrelson and Courtney Love’s–she plays Flynt’s star-crossed wife Althea Leasure–performances are epic. I also have to give a huge nod to lead makeup artist Ben Nye Jr. The haunting transformation Love makes from beginning to end is stunning.
This movie is a must-see. For all you Netflix users, don’t wait a week. This sucker is instant.

My uncle used to own a Delorean… oh man, how awesome a first car that would have been.
Hot Wheels and a movie review? Very cool. By the way, that car comes in black now; buy two, their small.
